Brewing Craft,
Built on People
Pivovar Ferdinand could not exist without the people who have dedicated their lives to it.
Behind every batch of beer lie the skills and experience of generations of brewmasters
whose work has shaped the character of Benešov beer.
We honor tradition and take inspiration from innovation,
but the foundation remains the same—honest production, high-quality
ingredients, and craft pride.

Words from Brewmaster
Jaroslav Lebeda
“Brewing honest beer is a responsibility. We honor the traditions left to us by our predecessors and believe that honest work shows in every glass. Our beer undergoes traditional fermentation, rests long enough in lager cellars, and is never diluted with water. We use Czech malt produced in our own malt house and the highest quality Saaz hops.
I have worked at the brewery since 1989 and have gone through all parts of the production process. Today, as brewmaster and production director, I can say that beer brewing is second nature to me. Pivovar Ferdinand maintains a purely Czech identity, and I believe that genuine beer like ours will always have a place on the market and in the hearts of quality beer lovers.”

Historical Words of Brewmaster
Václav Vlček (1947)
“I wanted to capture the history of the Benešov brewery and record all the important events. Perhaps I did not succeed, perhaps I lacked the time. But one thing I know for sure—everything in the world has its history, including us humans. We spent a part of our lives in the brewery, sharing both its joys and pains. We poured our efforts and our hearts into it. I believe that our brewery, too, has its own face and soul. I have seen it laugh and mourn, but it always rose back up and moved forward. I would like it to be a place of contentment, goodwill, and craft pride. And I believe that one day, the brewery will give us a satisfied wink and say: 'You're doing a great job, boys!'”
